A new seaside restaurant with “sunset DJs” is set to open on the North Yorkshire coast next month.
Tomahawk Steakhouse is busy transforming the old Vista Mar premises in Saltburn and hopes to serve breakfast from 8am plus lunch and dinner by the sea seven days a week.
Dubbed a “Tomahawk with a twist”, the chain has plans to include surf and turf versions of its “legendary” dishes on the menu as well as a range of cocktails, draught beers and a “couple of outdoor surprises”.

The firm shared pictures of the site on social media yesterday and said work to bring it back to life was “well underway”.
Located at the bottom of Saltburn bank, just opposite the beach and pier, it will feature “fantastic sea views” thanks to a wraparound veranda.
Writing on Facebook, the chain said: “Tomahawk Saltburn is well underway! Our team are currently working their magic to transform this amazing venue bringing sun, sea and steak!
“Just check out that fantastic sea view. Who can’t wait till we open.”
Tomahawk fans said they could barely contain their excitement and are looking forward to visiting the restaurant once it opens.
Carol Millman said: “That’s my favourite place to sit out for a drink in Saltburn, can’t believe it’s going to be a Tomahawk. Fab-u-lous.”
Allison Merryweather wrote: “I’ve always wanted to eat in this building. It’s such a lovey location.”
And Kristian Ramsey said: “This will be amazing!”
