We can feel a little run down after the festivities of Christmas and New Year’s, so a fitness festival may be just the thing to get us feeling fresh again.
FitYard, created by MOVEMENT+ Fitness, is a one day festival in Dublin which brings together all sorts of activities.
Like the pop-ups MOVEMENT+ Fitness have hosted over 2019, the festival will hold rowing, boogie bounce, HIIT workouts, yoga and BoxFit in one event.
There are a host of well-known names in the industry who will host their own classes and workshops on the day, taking place in the new JamPark in Swords on February 15.
Some of those hosting classes and workshops include Irish international rugby star Megan Williams, Olympian Niall O’Toole, Ireland boxer Tony Browne and influencer Daniella Moyles.
There will be live podcasts from BandWagons after their sold out Dublin Podcast Festival shows and the business podcast The Entrepreneur Experiment.
Tom Coleman of MyNutrition will speak on the importance and tactics of recovery for performance. MOVEMENT+ workouts and talks will run from 8am to 1pm.
DublinCityMum is curating the afternoon session as the kids takeover Jam Park from 2pm. Carla Roberts of Pound Fit will be hosting a Family POUND session and Family Zumba while Liz Costigan Fleury will be taking family yoga and EmpoweredMama Emma Dowling will be running a post natal fitness class for mums.
Throughout the afternoon Claphandies will be running their Playlab for babies, wobblers & toddlers and REALPARTIESx for two to 11 year olds. The Cool Food School will also be running healthy eating workshops.
All day long there will be healthy food at our upstairs EatYard, along with Arcade Games and Crazy Golf. Tickets for the morning and afternoon sessions are available here.
Tickets entitle ticket holders to take as many classes as they’d like, whether it be kicking off with some zen yoga, boxing like Katie Taylor afterwards and rowing like an O’Donovan brother to finish off the morning.
