NEW YORK — America has perfected the annoying Television cooking levels of competition, pitting novice or qualified chefs versus each and every other in these kinds of high-force, scream-stuffed reveals as “Chopped,” “Cutthroat Kitchen” or “Top Chef.”
PBS hopes to change that with an original food stuff level of competition display, “The Good American Recipe,” which dispenses with the angst and terrifying knife graphics. It’s much more “The Fantastic British Baking Show” than “Hell’s Kitchen.”
Light and supportive, the show gathers 10 household cooks from around the place and presents them the prospect to showcase their signature dishes. The 8-episode sequence premieres Friday on PBS, PBS.org and the PBS Video clip application.
“Yes, they have been competing, but they genuinely were being just there to be their ideal selves and notify every single other stories via their food items,” says the show’s host, Alejandra Ramos,
